Has anyone seen the bill to repeal the 22nd Amendment? I've seen some chatter about it and started doing some research. Very interesting findings

Wow, I thought this was a discussion forum. 
Thanks for the link eeven73...that was one of the things I found when researching.
So, since we now know the status and history, I guess that part is off the table.
How about opinions? What would y'all think about the idea of repealing the 22nd Amendment?

It is... but I enjoyed your boat thread.
Opinions on repealing the 22nd amendment? I say we go the other way and institute term limits in Congress |

Maybe find a topic that's a little more down the middle? The last few have been 99.99% on one side of the fence vs 0.01% on the other with the 0.01% consisting of extremist nutjobs.

To my knowledge only one amendment has ever been repealed and we are all thankful for the 21st...

Well, send me a check for a few thousand bucks and I'll do another boat thread. 
I would love to see term limits on Congress, too. I'd rather see it being more of a service to the country, like originally intended, than a career.

Conservatives all seem to love term limits but never look at the disaster term limits has caused in Ca. I've ranted on this subject at length in this forum feel free to search those posts and save yourself from my rant.

I actually think an amendment to the 22nd is in order. I believe we should have a single 8 to 10 year term. Heck let him have two but don't let them be back to back. Having two terms basically means that the first term of the president is spent pandering to special interest and the second term is too short to get anything done as well as spent pandering to special interest to line the pockets for life after presidency.

Maybe governor should be another 8 to 10 year single term as well.
